Amber is a self-taught artist who uses her background in improvisational modern dance to create her unique abstract paintings. Each piece is completed while listening to a particular type of music, often replayed during the weeks it takes her to complete a piece, and is an expression of her interpretation of that music. Amber's unique paintings are made with a complex mixture that she creates herself. It allows her to blend interesting textures and colors together, freezing motion and transforming dance to canvas. Amber hopes that the viewers of her paintings will be able to look time and time again and discover something new every time. "I like to create works that use daily images, with a twist of imagination. A flower is never just a flower. Art is not always what can be expected, because it is a piece of ever changing thoughts and visions." In the four years that Amber has been publicly displaying her work, she has participated in numerous solo, group, and juried shows around Connecticut and New York City.
