Jeane studied stone sculpture through an extensive apprenticeship with her husband, Jerry Williams, and has been creating gentle, meditative stone sculptures for over a decade. Her unique designs incorporate light, shadows, texture and symbolism; transforming hard lifeless stone into personal expressions that speak a common language. As one of the few female artists to take up this demanding craft, Jeane’s work stands out as unique, decidedly feminine while retaining the imposing powerful nature of the stone. Although she has only shown her work in Vermont and Massachusetts, her sculptures can be found in private collections throughout the country. |
