Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan but has lived in Montpelier most of her adult life. Admasian has a BFA from Colby Sawyer College and has worked as an artist, administrator, and business owner for the last 25 years. She has nationally exhibited her work from New York City, Boston, New Hampshire, Burlington, and Montpelier and was selected as part of the second annual Vermont Artist Residency at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT. She has been a curator, creative director for film, visual and performing arts. Admasian is also passionately involved with art advocacy and she continues to participate in collaborations of site specific work to provoke social action and thought around issues that matter in our daily lives. Mary's work is primarily abstract but challenges the viewer to reach into their inner being and discover the elements of personal expression and thought. Her current and early work has a strong modern focus that is timeless and provocative. |
