Artist Bio:

Mary Jo Krolewski is a Martha Stewart protege who, instead of following a modeling career, as Martha did, took a different path to baking and crafting excellence.  Her journey first led her to a degree in Mechanical Engineering, from Cornell University, because it was easy; and then to a degree in Energy Policy from the University of Pennsylvania.

Because she is such a do-gooder, Mary Jo eschewed careers in military weapons design, consulting, and anything that involved terra-exploitation; instead taking a job with the Environmental Protection Agency, first as a regulator of hazardous waste management, then as a regulator of power plant emissions. Although she maintains a deep respect for the Agency's career employees and the work they do, the frequent 80 hour work-weeks and all-nighters that resulted in less than adequate follow through by political appointees finally drove her to desire a life of baking cookies, playing with fabric, and cross-country skiing.

Now, with the time and the freedom to create edible and inedible culinary masterpieces, Mary Jo is living a lifelong dream.  Although she has gone totally unrecognized in this, her quasi-proto-meta-bohemianistic period, Mary Jo is completely confident that by the time the century ends, Americans everywhere, if not all of humanity, will be saying, "Martha Stewart, wasn't she, like a, paleoMaryJo?"
